Impingement Syndrome - A pain in the hip. Deformities on the head of the thigh bone or along the rim of the hip socket can wreck havoc on the hip joint, making certain movements painful or even debilitating. Where physical therapy and medications no longer help, orthopedists generally recommend surgery. But success isn't always guaranteed.
