How to make a shirt for the gym

Getting in shape can be expensive. Gym fees cost between US $ 30 to US $ 150 per month and that price can skyrocket if you add to an extra class or if you use a personal trainer. Added to this, is the cost of sportswear. Many retailers advertise cutting-edge fabrics for elasticity, support and breathability, but they are not cheap. You can save money by making your own shirts for the gym. The loose cotton fabric has all the breathability and comfort you need to exercise. You can alter a shirt at home to make it more comfortable and fit for exercise.

Modify a shirt for the gym

Draw a line of 1/2 inch (1.2 cm) in the seam of a sleeve of the shirt, starting from the neck and ending in the armpit. Cut along the line. The idea is to cut the sleeve, including the seam, so that the edge is rough. Repeat with the other sleeve. If your shirt is a light color, a pencil will work and it will wash. If your shirt is a dark color, it will be easier to use a colored pen.

Draw a diagonal line from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the neck. Draw a diagonal line from the bottom of the first diagonal line to the opposite shoulder of the shirt. The idea here is to create a V neck of the original round neck of the shirt. This will make it more comfortable to exercise, so that your neck is not clogged in any way.

Cut along the line, making sure you're cutting the back and front of the shirt simultaneously.

If you want it to be shorter (so that it does not inhibit the movement of the legs while exercising), make a mark on the underside of the shirt to the desired length. Draw a horizontal line from this mark along the front of the shirt.

Cut along the line. Your shirt is now a loose top with a V-neck and large holes for the neck and arms, to facilitate movement while you exercise. That the shirt is a little big will allow your skin to breathe and breathe what is necessary. And the shorter length will ensure that you can kick and lunge without the excess fabric coming in.

advice

If your shirt is new, wash it before cutting it. Cotton is often reduced a little after the first wash. If you want the holes in your shirt to be larger, do not hesitate to stretch them out with your hand.
