Middle Eastern Studies
Since October 2011 I'm studying Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Hamburg with a minor in Philosophy. From January to April 2015 I spent a semester abroad at the Birzeit University in Palestine, improving my Modern Standard Arabic and learning the Palestinian dialect.
Experience as a journalist
Since April 2013 I'm taking part in a course-related training as a journalist provided by the Konrad Adenauer foundation, of which I'm a scholarship holder. This training also includes several internships during my studies, which I already did at a radio station of the North German Broadcasting NDR in Heide and the dpa in Istanbul.
In addition I did several interships (at the German news agency dpa in Mainz and the local newspaper General-Anzeiger in Bonn) and worked as a freelancer (for the local newspaper Rhein-Zeitung in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler) when I was in school.
Since March 2014 I'm working as a freelancer for the dpa in Hamburg.
I work as a freelance journalist and photographer for different clients as well - including the youth magazine FREIHAFEN and the magazine punktum, that is published by the Youth council of Hamburg.

I'm a board member of the Youth Press in Hamburg, in charge of public and press relations among other topics.
Studies
