Luisa Seeling

Geboren in Aachen, aufgewachsen in Ostbelgien, Abi im Rheinland. Studium (European Studies und Internationale Beziehungen) in Maastricht, Istanbul und Berlin. Von 2009 bis 2013 u.a. Redakteurin der Zeitschrift Internationale Politik, freie Journalistin, Übersetzerin. 2012 als Johannes-Rau-Stipendiatin in Istanbul. 2013 Beginn eines Volontariats bei der Süddeutschen Zeitung in München; von 2015 bis 2021 Redakteurin im Ressort Außenpolitik, zuständig für die Türkei und Griechenland.

Aktueller Wohnort: Berlin. Seit Anfang 2022 Lead Writing, Editing & Publishing bei interface (ehemals Stiftung Neue Verantwortung).

Born in Aachen, in western Germany, and raised in eastern Belgium, I completed my high school education in a small town in the Rhineland. I studied European Studies and International Relations in Maastricht, Istanbul, and Berlin. From 2009 to 2013, I worked as an editor for the Berlin-based magazine Internationale Politik, as a freelance journalist, and as a translator. In 2012, I was awarded the Johannes Rau Fellowship, including a stint at a Turkish news organization in Istanbul. I began a traineeship at Süddeutsche Zeitung in Munich in 2013, and from 2015 to 2021, I worked as an editor at the foreign desk, focusing on Turkey and Greece.

Currently based in Berlin, I’ve been the Lead for Writing, Editing & Publishing at interface (formerly Stiftung Neue Verantwortung) since early 2022.
