Taiwan's health authorities are stepping up their precautions and
continuing to monitor for cases of the novel coronavirus (officially
known as 2019-nCoV) due to the high rate of travel in the region as many
return from the Lunar New Year holiday. Amid existing confirmed cases
entering Taiwan via China, three new cases were reported Thursday night
to have been picked up and brought to Taiwan through Macau and Hong
Kong. There is an increased worry that imported cases could spread
locally.
