Stupidity bomb thrower Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took to Twitter to congratulated the US women’s football team on their World Cup victory.
But instead of just leaving it there her brain cell acted up and she decided to provide us with another opportunity to laugh hysterically at her.
AOC called for the Women's U.S. World Cup Soccer champions not to be paid equally as the U.S. Men's Soccer players but to be paid double their pay.
No sooner had the match ended than USA Today journalist Nancy Armour reported fans chanting “Equal pay!,” a reference to the ongoing gender discrimination lawsuit filed by the team against the US Soccer Federation, claiming they are paid 38 cents for every dollar their male counterparts earn.
“At this point we shouldn’t even be asking for equal pay,” Ocasio-Cortez chimed in, possibly joking. “We should demand they be paid at least twice as much.”

The Women U.S. Soccer Teams Claim
All 28 members of the United States Women's National Team have filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation over claims they are paid less than their male counterparts, despite being more successful.
The USWNT filed the suit under the Equal Pay Act on Friday, seeking class-action status over "institutionalized gender discrimination" against them over pay.
The lawsuit read, per ESPN:
"Despite the fact that these female and male players are called upon to perform the same job responsibilities on their teams and participate in international competitions for their single common employer, the USSF, the female players have been consistently paid less money than their male counterparts.
"This is true even though their performance has been superior to that of the male players -- with the female players, in contrast to male players, becoming world champions."
Despite being current world champions and having generated around $20 million more than the men's team in 2015, who failed to qualify for Russia 2018 last summer, the team are paid a quarter less.
"Each of us is extremely proud to wear the United States jersey, and we also take seriously the responsibility that comes with that," USA forward Alex Morgan said in a statement.
"We believe that fighting for gender equality in sports is a part of that responsibility. As players, we deserved to be paid equally for our work, regardless of our gender."

But instead, let's deal with " Do they earn Equal pay?".

If the women truly believe this, then let them face the God awful U.S. men team and when they kick the hell out of the women 20-0 then we'll talk about "Performance."
In fact, ladies, just beat a high school boys soccer team and then we can chat about those "Performance" issues you are having.
True, the game against the boys was a fun match and the score could have been different if the USWNT went all out, but I doubt it.
But what is truly amazing is if these women feel they are on par with men... How come these 14-year olds are HUGE compared to the women?

The USWNT stated: Despite being current world champions and having generated around $20 million more than the men's team in 2015.
They are paid less because fewer people watch women soccer and that is where the money is generated.
The keywords in the women's claim is 2015.
The lawsuit from the women’s team sketched out the following scenario: If both teams played 20 matches in a year, a top-tier women’s national team player would earn $164,320 less, or “38% of the compensation of a similarly situated men's team player.”
That was true under the previous collective bargaining agreement that ended in December 2016.
The new agreement, which took effect in April 2017. Using the same 20-game scenario, the women’s team would earn $28,333 less than the men’s team player.
Total prize money for the world cup champions is based on the amount generated in ticket sales and what TV networks are paying to show the game and that's based on ratings.
For the Women’s World Cup in 2019, the total pool was $30 million, of which the champions received $4 million.
For the Men's World Cup in 2018, the total pool was $400 million, of which the champions received $38 million.
Sorry, ladies, you don't bring in the revenue to get paid equal, let alone double the amount men are being paid.
$15 get you a ticket into the Women's world cup finals... The same $15 get's you a hot dog and small soda in the men's world cup finals.
You don't get paid on "Feelings" instead, you get paid on economic FACTS.
Here’s how much each ticket to the 2018 men's final, and 2019 Women's final costs at face-value:
Category one: Men's $1,100 - Women's $673
Category two: Men's $710 - Women's $504
Category three: Men's $455 - Women's $179
Category four: Men's N/A - Women's $79
As for TV Rating which of course, determines how much a network is willing to pay to secure the rights
The 2019 Women's Championship yesterday had a total global audience of 1 billion viewers across all platforms.
The 2018 Men's Championship had a total global audience of 3.6 billion viewers across all platforms.
Ladies if you want equal pay THEN EARN IT! And you can forget about all that "Double the pay" stupidity by AOC.
