List of Non-EU Countries You Can Travel Visa-Free With A Schengen Visa

Did you know that having a Schengen visa allows you to go and travel visa-free to a number of countries within Europe that are not part of the European Union nor the Schengen area, and also to other countries in the world? Yes, you heard me right, you can visit VISA-FREE only by showing your Schengen Visa! You do NOT need a tourist visa issued from these countries to enter, transit and stay in their territory.

That means you can book flights spontaneously to these countries when the travel itch hits you. Or you can prolong your stay in Europe after your Schengen visa expires! And if you're a Philippine-passport holder like me who knows how hard it is to get a Schengen visa, this is a huge bonus!

This post is for you if you're wondering whether a Schengen visa is valid for Croatia or not. Or asking questions like: Can I go to Romania, Bosnia or Montenegro with a Schengen visa?

Quick tip: When applying for a Schengen visa, DO NOT buy your flights tickets until you get your visa. You should only get a flight reservation for visa application, read my post so you don't lose hundreds of dollars if your visa is rejected! You're welcome.
