Today I wanted to share some of the best things I have run across on the internet lately. I do not typically do these kinds of posts, but these articles and sites were just too good, not to share!
- 1. I am sure you all have heard of the horrific stabbing of the 12-year-old girl in Wisconsin, this past week, Her family has started the GoFundMe page Hearts of Healing, where you can donate to her medical bills, or get the address to send her a hand crafted purple(her favorite color) heart (of construction paper, wool, felt, etc.) that they will hang on her wall through her healing process. - 2. On a lighter note, I just love Emma Stone. She is beautiful, talented, bright and hilarious–both on and off screen. Her recent interview with Vogue magazine exhibits all of these characteristics and more. (She did her interview at the mall, went to Build-A-Bear and Hot Dog on a Stick…how do you not love her??) - 3. I don’t know if any of you watch HBO’s Girls, but Zosia Mamet(Shoshanna) has a monthly column with Glamour and her most recent piece blew me away. It’s about how women are so hard on themselves and each other. She discusses the importance of measuring success by your own standards, not the rest of the world’s. Check it out here.
- 4. I found this article on the blog Life Could Be a Dream, about things she wished she had known when she started blogging. I loved everything she had to say and would definitely recommend checking it out here.
- 5. I have a friend from college who recently started an Etsy shop and Lil'Champs Kids clothing, it is AMAZING. She sells hand crafted jewelry, Children Dresses and the most amazing water colors and . She does florals and fun sayings. I had her make one for my mom for Mother’s Day and she cried. She loved it.
