Carolin Weische

Hi, I'm Carolin Weische, a freelance journalist with over ten years of experience in radio journalism. I focus on human rights and the climate crisis, particularly in the German-Brazilian context, and I am passionate about exploring how music and culture reflect social and environmental movements.

After studying journalism at TU Dortmund University and NOVA University Lisbon, I completed a traineeship at WDR in Cologne. Since 2014, I have been working freelance for public broadcasters like COSMO, WDR5, Quarks and Deutschlandfunk Nova. My research has taken me to Rwanda, Indigenous communities along the Tapajós River in the Amazon, or the Great African Seaforest in Cape Town.
