Hi I am Yulie Buyong Sullivan, I am a Filipino. I wanna share my story to you, before I become a blogger. Okay my story is very long and I don't know if I will be able to share all of it to you. But I will share a little bit about my life before I become a blogger. I was born and raise in Zamboanga Del Norte or Zamboanga Peninsula Philippines. I am pretty sure you never heard about of this place, this place is very province and its very far from any City in the Philippines. Zamboanga Del Norte is part of Mindanao, I love to live in the little community.
I have 1 sister and 3 bothers, when i was 7 years old my dad got sick. My family is a farmer, so we live in the top of the mountains. Which is 2 hours walk to go down the mountains and also 2 hours walk to go up the mountains. Everyday I walk 4 hours up and down to go to school. I know it is very hard life, when my dad got sick I decided not to finish my study. So I can help my family for our everyday needs. Even though my dad is already sick he still try his best to give us a support.
Sometimes we don't eat all day long, sometimes we eat only once a day. I know you are all thinking that is fine, then your wrong because when you are very hard working carry heavy. You need strength to carry heavy specially in hot weather and all day working hard and you only eat once a day its really not enough. You may think why we don't have food, and we are a farmer. It is because in Mindanao where I am from we don't used any chemical to grow our food or plant any fruits. So we only harvest once a year for fruits and twice a year for Rice, Corn, and Vegetables. So we always run out of food, and plus our community is very few people who lives there. Everybody has their own farm, so no one really like to buy any food for sale.
When I was 13 Year old I decided to go to Zambonga City, And I live there for 1 year. Then my Sister contact me, She want me to go to Cebu City. And I never seen my sister since birth no pictures or anything to recognize her. My sister send me money only for my ticket, I don't have extra for food. I was in the boat for 27 hours, without food, no money, no cellphone, no extra clothes except of the one I wear. What I do I ask to the people to borrow there phones and text my sister, the good thing is I am lucky I did memorize the number of my sister. I really had a big adventure that night and day in the boat, I am so lucky there one kind lady she gave me food and water. And she even want to help me if ever I don't find my sister in Cebu City. But you got to be very brave to travels specially in your first time without anything with you not even ( ID ).
So when I got to Cebu City Thank god my sister recognize me, as she recognize the eyes of our Moms on me. I was so happy And my sister was so nice to me. She told me to be smart and strong specially when you live in the middle of the City. City is nice but many crazy people and scammers and bad people. I didn't know about internet or social media 8 years ago, but my sister teach me. Then I learn very slowly about social media until I find out about Dating Websites, which where i found my true love. I was so happy to meet him in Cebu City, And now where happily married. I am now living United States with my husband, I love it here so much.
When I got here in United States I didn't know what I really want, until my husband show me about travelling. I experience the good value of travelling with him, and plus on my past experience I learn a lot. I learn that travelling is not only good for your health it is also very important to learn about our world. I really love Nature as I am originally a Mountain girl, I love how the bird sing and the sound of Nature. I love to listen to the rain forest, it took away all my stress and problem. For me Nature, Travelling, Adventure, is the best feelings in the whole world. I love to write about my true story, so some young youth would in courage to travel and learn more about the value of the Nature. I would love to write more about my story further soon.
Thank you so much for reading my story:
