With the excesses of Christmas out of the way, we all need a bit of a re-set. Time to re-awake the palate with fresh, zingy, light dishes and generally rethink how we feed and nourish ourselves. This is no time for deprivation however – the seasonal larder has much to offer even during the dark days of January and February – all the more reason to fill your plate with delicious things to eat, confident that you are starting 2020 on the right foot.
Cook Folk’s Seasonal Entertaining Workshops series for 2020:  I will demonstrate the ways in which I like to cook and eat; championing seasonal produce filled with natural immune boosting ingredients and bursting with fresh new ways to keep your taste buds tingling and to help you through these light deprived months.
Together we will create a host of comforting, immune health boosting and exciting recipes that can be adapted for any occasion; whether cooking for yourself, your family or entertaining friends.
The best cooking classes
The workshop will:
Show you fresh ways to prepare and cook seasonal ingredients that will help to transform your home cooking.
Raise your ingredients knowledge so you can confidently celebrate the freshness of new season produce; kale, purple sprouting broccoli, Jerusalem artichokes, blood oranges, rhubarb and pomegranates, to name but a few.
Show you new ways with classic immune boosters, including; turmeric, green tea, herbs and spices, nuts, seeds and whole grains, plus the principles of simple home fermentation.
Demonstrate clever tips and techniques to up your kitchen skills and unleash your creative flair.
Share simple and affordable tricks to style a beautiful seasonal table.
Help you rediscover ways to shop, plan, cook and entertain to make cooking for friends a genuine joy.
Follow up notes and guidance will be provided leaving you free to just cook, create and enjoy during the session, with plenty of opportunity for hands on learning.
Attendees of the taster workshop will take away a packed lunch of the day’s creations to enjoy at home.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the sessions.
