Alka Upadhyay who hails from Madhya Pradesh is a 1990 batch pass out IAS who is serving as the Additional Secretary Rural Development, know her biography

A major bureaucratic reshuffle has recently taken place and the government of India has appointed Mrs. Alka Upadhyay as the chief for the National Highways Authority of India which is known as NHAI.

She was previously the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development, Director General of the National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency, CEO of the National Rural Livelihood Mission, and Director General of the Council for Advancement of Peoples’ Action and Rural Technology.

Alka Upadhyay has been appointed as the new Chief for the NHAI authorities. She has attained her higher education from Syracuse University for where she holds a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Economics and Public Administration from Maxwell School, Syracuse University. She is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh Cadre.

Sanjay Bandopadhyay has been given the post of Additional Secretary and he handles the affairs related to the Ministry of Ports, Waterways, and Shipping.

Officer Dharmendra S Gangwar is the one who serves as the Additional Secretary and the Financial Adviser. Officer Sundeep Kumar Nayak has been designated as the General Director for the National Productivity Council.

Upma Srivastava is the officer from the state Sikkim of 1988 batch who has been given the task of the Secretary of National Commission for all Scheduled Castes.

Juthika Patankar has been assigned the post of Additional Secretary for the Skill Development Ministry and Entrepreneurship. Special secretary, Mrs. Anita Praveen who is scheduled to be an officer of Department and Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, and she will be Special Secretary for the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and Big Firms.

Officer Amit Yadav is the Directorate-General for all Foreign Trade and services taking place in the country. Most probably he is going to get shifted as Additional Secretary for the Department of Commerce.

G Asok Kumar is all set to take charge as the Mission Director for National Water Mission for the Department of Water Resources that involves River Development as well as Ganga rejuvenation. He will also handle the National Mission for Clean Ganga while the Neelam Shammi Rao has been posted as the Central Provident Fund Commissioner and Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, PF.
