It’s not Cristiano Ronaldo who is in trouble this time, but his bodyguards who have found themselves in a difficult situation after reports of them working illegally in Portugal 
The world recently found out about Cristiano Ronaldo’s two bodyguards Sergio and Jorge Ramalheiro as the two made news for reportedly working in Portugal illegally for which they are being probed.
Let’s delve a bit into the past life and experiences of the two twin brothers who are now working for the 36-year old football superstar.

The two Portuguese twin brothers originate from Ansiao close to the city of Pombal, which is just a 2-hour drive north of the capital city of Lisbon. The duo finished their schooling and directly joined the army, where they were recruited in a special forces unit called the Commandos, whose roots can be traced back to Angola back in 1962.
Post their tenure as soldiers with an elite Portugal special forces unit in Afghanistan, Sergio and Jorge were assimilated by a Portuguese police unit which worked towards protecting politicians and judges. A third brother by the name of Alexandre is also understood to be employed as a police officer.
Talking a bit about their abilities, well, Cristiano and his fans need not worry about safety when these two are guarding him. Sergio and Jorge have a very suave, casual and elegant dressing sense, suiting up very much like their 36-year old strapping boss. The two are known to mix well with crowds, possessing the prowess to think, react and act swiftly at the right time. Ronaldo is provided round-the-clock-protection by the twin brothers.
Their former lieutenant colonel commended their abilities by describing them as “very strong mentally and physically”.  Before their appointment as Ronaldo’s personal minders, the Ramalheiro brothers were included in a PSP close protection unit entrusted with the duty of safeguarding politicians and judges.

Why Are They Being Investigated?

Currently on unpaid leave from the police, the twin brothers have been subjected to probes regarding their provision of unauthorized close protection services.

What Further Action Will Be Taken?

As a result of discharging private security functions in absence of police permission, Sergio and Jorge could possibly go on trial, along with facing disciplinary proceedings upon their return to Portugal’s Public Security Police Force.
