In the recent general meeting of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Harjinder Singh Dhami got appointed as the president. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Shiromani Committee that is the Teja Singh Samundari Hall located in the complex of Golden Temple.

Harjinder Singh Dhami has successfully become the 44th president at the prestigious Shiromani Committee. The session for the election of the new president was carried out in front of the Guru Granth Sahib.
Harjinder Singh received a nomination from Surjit Singh Bhitewad for the presidency post. Meanwhile, other candidates also received nominations for the post of President that was taken up by Advocate Harjinder Singh.
In total 142 votes were taken and fortunately, 122 fell in Dhami’s favor. This victory was marked by quite a massive difference by defeating Mithu Singh Kahneke who had a total of 19 votes. During this session, Raghujit Singh Virk got the post of Senior Vice President.
Surinder Singh was posted as the Junior Vice President. The name for the post of Junior president was given by Sukpreet Singh Rode.
After being elected as the President, Dhami went to visit Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib to pay his respect along with other elected committee members.

Harjinder Singh Dhami’s association with the Shiromani committee is not a new one as he has been serving for quite a long time now. Previously he was handling the position of General Secretary. He was born in the year 1956. Since 1966 he is working for the welfare of Sikhism.
Talking about Harjinder Singh’s education, he has been a part of the law world for the past 40 years. Harjinder Dhami is a BA LLB and he never misses any chance to fight for the rights of Sikh warriors.
