Enthusiasm of football fans is at its peak as FIFA World Cup 2018 is about to kick start. The event is going to remain a talk of the town for the next whole month to come. The first match of tournament will be held on June 14, 2018 in Russia. The final will take place on July 15 at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Group Stages
Overall 32 nations which are divided into 8 groups will play in the initial stage or the group stage. After 48 matches of the first face tournament will shortlist the top 16 of the tournament according to number of points and wins.

Group A- Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay
Group B- Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran
Group C- France, Australia, Peru, Denmark
Group D- Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria
Group E- Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia
Group F- Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea
Group G- Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, England
Group H- Poland, Senegal, Colombia, Japan
The next stage is the Round of 16 that will begin at June 30. In this stage, winner of the one group will play with the runner up of the next group. The round of 16 will also decide about the 8 teams that will meet in quarterfinals beginning taking place in July 6 and July 7. After the quarterfinals, the four qualifying teams will play the semifinals on July 10 and July 11. The final will be held at Luzhniki on July 15.
Interestingly, this season significant football teams like Italy, Netherlands, United States, New Zealand and Cameroon have not qualified for the tournament.
