Hi I am Yulie Sullivan. I am here today to give a few advice tips about k-1 Visa holders. Listed below you will find all you need to prepare about K-1 Visa in the future. Because once your K-1 Visa approved in Manila Embassy in the Philippines, the K-1 visa holder the processing doesn't simply end at the Manila Embassy. It will continue until you reach your destination in the U.S.
Once you are already in United States of America. K-1 visa holders are required to to get married within 90 days after arrival in the U.S. After getting married to a U.S citizen there is a few more steps to follow for the K-1 visa holder. Getting S.S.N# ( Social Security Number ).
Once the applicant is are already married to his/her petitioners or fiance. The next steps is to apply for A.O.S ( Adjustment of Status ). After filing for Adjustment of Status, there are still more steps remaining for the K-1 visa holder.
Adjustment of Status sometimes you get lucky to get your green card very quickly. In my case it only took a few months. For others, the wait is longer. Sometimes it's a headache because they may to send you an R.F.E ( Request for Evidence ) if more information is needed.
But i think it depends on what State you live. If you live in a small town in a small State then maybe you get lucky (like I did) to get your green card faster. But if you live in a large city then your case is going to be slow. I think its because there are many other cases to process so it will take a bit longer.
But once you send back the Request of Evidence they are asking. Then your case will be back to processing. Then they are going to send an schedule for Fingerprint Biometrics to the nearest U.S.C.I.S in your State. After your Fingerprint we are still not sure if your going to have a interview. Some are just lucky to get approved without interview (I was one of the fortunate ones who didn't need to have an interview. Yay!).
Once you get your Green Card Approved. You may think that all of the processing is over, but there is more steps to follow after you got your green card. Although it less stressful than in the beginning. However, after you get your green card you must still prepare a lot of documents for your next steps processing.
Okay after you get your 2 years Green Card here is your next steps. You have to file for R.O.C ( Removal of Conditions ). 2 years green card holder is required to file for R.O.C because :
Your status is conditional, because you must prove that you did not get married to evade the immigration laws of the United States. To remove these conditions you must file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

If you still married to the same U.S. citizen or permanent resident after 2 years. You may include your children in your application if they received their conditional-resident status either at the same time or within 90 days as you did.

If you Entered into a marriage in good faith, but either you or your child were battered, abused or subjected to extreme hardship by your U.S.-citizen or permanent-resident spouse.
How to apply to Remove the Condition
You and your spouse must apply together to remove the conditions on your residence by filing Form I-751. You should apply during the 90 days before your second anniversary as a conditional resident.
The expiration date on your green card is also the date of your second anniversary as a conditional resident. If you do not apply to remove the conditions in time, you could lose your conditional resident status and be removed from the country.
What happen if you fail to file for Removal of condition
If you don't file the Form I-751 (Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence) within the 90-day, before your second anniversary as a conditional resident.
Your conditional resident status will automatically be terminated and the U.S.C.I.S will order removal proceedings against you. You will receive a notice from the U.S.C.I.S telling you that you have failed to remove the conditions.
You will also receive a Notice to Appear at a hearing. At the hearing you may review and rebut the evidence against you. It is your responsibility to prove that you have complied with all of the requirement (the U.S.C.I.S is not responsible for proving that you did not comply with the requirements.
