Rocco Forte Villa Kennedy - The Villa Spa in Frankfurt [1]

The Villa Spa a Kennedy-esque secret. Kept by those who whisp over the timber floors, with scarves and large round glasses. You literally expect Jackie O to pass through the pool area after a delicious body treatment by the team at Rocco Forte Villa Kennedy’s – Villa Spa.

No-one passes through Germany’s ‘transaction’ city, Frankfurt, without a style-axtion treat at the Villa Spa. Celebs chill after sold out performances and share a fresh juice by the pool with exec board members who take a breath during hectic business travel. It’s the pause between the madness, the exact breath that we all have read a million times about the Kennedy family, that has roots deep in this iconic hotel, bearing the name and location of classic vintage glamour.

The Villa Spa is split over three levels for complete head to toe body joy; with Turkish steam room, yoga studio, gym, and indoor pool opening to a bright sunny courtyard for vitamin A delights. Perfectly suited for the luxus among us who need to just escape.

The design was overseen by Olga Polizzi, daughter of late hotel magnate Lord Forte and sister of the international hotelier Sir Rocco Forte. In Kennedy traditions, the Rocco Forte family has kept style and design in the family, trusting each other’s eye and expertise to best emulate the world they know and cherish. She heralds the hotel-design approach of Philippe Starck in high regard, for his way of looking differently through the lens of travel and luxury, although she says she doesn’t exactly sign up to his design principles. This is clear as you pass by full length mirrored walls and classic leather stylings. Here you can see Olga’s style icon come into influence, Audrey Hepburn bringing in the simple elegance of the 1960s clear lines and strong character.

It was the minimalist deluxe essential design from Swede Martin Brudnizki that brought the whole vision of Olga Polizzi and her Rocco Forte family heritage together with relevant touches that best paid tribute to the beautiful tower on Kennedyallee in Frankfurt am Main. The lightness of the Villa Spa makes one feel nestled, in the courtyard, by the natural textures of the materials used, yet a sparkle glimmers out from various shiny surfaces in subtle tribute to the glamour of the spa’s namesake, Kennedy.

Villa Spa manager, Nektaria Sfendoni is the insider to truly unleash the potential of this beautiful location. Her team was handpicked from Western European top spas for their expertise in specific treatments from executive-de-stress for the busy suit n tie type, or the discreet magic work performed by her beauty team that puts the sparkle back in celebrity eyes before another night of gruelling performance.

With just 8 treatment rooms, it is definitely an honour to be able to share in the luxury, and bookings are essential. You don’t just ask for a massage, you’ll share how you feel and Nektaria’s team will craft a restoration solution for your body, and tickle your soul with her colleagues from the JFK Bar who will contribute with snacks and surprises from the kitchen.

This, fits completely our image of the luxus Kennedy mirage, yet in a real sense; because the experience is real. And yours.
