Indian govt is now free to take any action against Twitter: High Court
New Delhi: Twitter on Tuesday admitted in Delhi High Court that the company has not complied with new IT rules framed by the Government of India.

On this, the High Court made it clear that now the central government is free to take action on Twitter and now the company cannot be protected.
Apart from this, the Delhi High Court has expressed displeasure over the delay being done by Twitter.
There is a delay on behalf of Twitter regarding the appointment of Grievance Redressal Officer, on which the Delhi High Court has expressed displeasure.
Justice Rekha Pali of Delhi High Court asked the representatives of Twitter that how much more time will you take in this process.
Justice Rekha Pali said that if Twitter feels that it can take as much time as it wants in our country, then I will not allow it.
Explain that according to the new IT rules of India, all social media companies in the country have to appoint a Grievance Redressal Officer.
An interim Grievance Officer was appointed by Twitter, but he also resigned.
This High Court told Twitter that after his resignation, at least he could have appointed another person.
On this Twitter said that we are going to appoint a new officer. On this, the court reprimanded and asked when will this process be completed.
After this, the court asked Twitter's lawyer to ask your client i.e. Twitter and tell how much more time it will take for the appointment of the grievance officer.
